Chapel Sermons at McAfee School of Theology

The Agenda
Chapel Sermons at McAfee School of Theology | McAfee School of Theology, Sermons, McAfee Chapel, Finding Our Way
When Jesse Mercer founded Mercer University in 1833, he and other Baptist leaders envisioned an institution that would provide students with a classical and theological education. Mercer is now the second-largest Baptist institution in the United States. The establishment in 1994 of a School of Theology was a continuation of the vision. Today, McAfee School of Theology has 250 students in its MDiv and DMin programs, preparing to serve the cause of Christ.

Each Tuesday at 10:45, students, faculty and staff gather in Cecil B. Day Hall on the Atlanta Campus for the worship of God. McAfee is delighted to have entered into an agreement with EthicsDaily.com to share our chapel sermons.

The theme for this spring is "Finding Our Way." During the first four services, we will consider what it means to follow Christ. During Lent, we will listen to the Psalms as a guide to devotion. After Easter, we will celebrate the resurrection.

We will share this journey with the leadership of skilled preachers of the Gospel: Baptist pastors--Charles Poole, Bill Coates, Julie Pennington-Russell, Bill Wilson, and Darryl Roberts; McAfee professors--Dock Hollingsworth, Loyd Allen, Graham Walker, and Tom Slater; McAfee students--Erica Hartman and Jacob Cook; Jerry Mahan of Mercer University and Rick Bennett of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.

Each Thursday, manuscripts of the sermon from the previous chapel service will be posted. We share these in the recognition that we are all "finding our way."
